At the end of 2024 we completed a new City of Stirling pylon sign at the much awaiting Hammersley Golf Course redevelopment in Karrinyup, WA.

The works included our standard preliminaries, site surveys, location reviews, site preparation including temporary fencing for public safety and remediation – plus all the manufacture.

From detailed shop drawings our team carefully constructed a 6m high, self standing illuminated pylon sign with footings and graphics. A pylon signs are a great way to attract visitors to the Marmion Avenue location. Made entirely using our in-house team – from Ish in design, through to the framework, acrylic panels, 2-pac paint, LEDs and graphics. All elements were assembled in house prior to the sign being transported to site.

Our site team facilitated the City of Stirling pylon sign lift into position and electrical commissioning. Minimising site time is always our goal – this helps to keep the risks to others to a minimum.

Safety management is a key element to a succesful project. This is where our project management team, spearheaded by Lee, underwent the risk management as a desk exercise and then ensured adherence during the site works. We are also grateful for the support of our contractors –  hiab transportation service from DLF and electrcial services.

Site Works

The below photos record the various stages of development in the installation process, ably led by Phil and supported by Mik. From footings through to on-site lifting and securing, our installation methodology is pre-planned and communicated to all stakeholders.

About The Upgrade

The project started in September 2023 when the multi-million redevelopment of Hamersley Public Golf Course was commissioned. Local contractor Cooper and Oxley were awarded the project. The scope of works included:

  • a modern pavilion
  • new restaurant
  • a multi-purpose function room
  • state-of-the-art 30-bay, two-level automated driving range
  • virtual reality golf simulator room.
  • upgrades to the existing carpark
  • improved access to and from Marmion Avenue

Hamersley Public Golf Course is key piece of the City of Stirling infrastructure, attracting more than 100,000 visitors each year.

It’s fair to say the new contemporary facilities set the gold standard for community golf courses.
