WE’RE HIRING! SIGNWRITING APPRENTICESHIP

We’re Hiring – Signwriting Apprenticeship

Seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team on a signwriting apprenticeship. Apply today and launch your career in this visually exciting and creative industry.

Over the years we have seen a number of young apprentices come to Signs & Lines and take the apprenticeship route. Many are still familiar faces in our team, with others who we see from time to time as their workplace journey’s have taken them far and wide.

Following the 3 year apprenticeship will see you as a qualified Signwriter tradesman. During that time you will study at Midland TAFE as block release and also learn on the tools as part of our team as a full-timer working Monday to Friday. This trade will suit someone who’s creative and likes making things. Ideally you will already have some good experience with hand tools, or maybe you like making things in the shed! There is no real pre-requisite to work in signage, but a keen eye for detail and a desire to make quality products will stand you in good stead.

There will be some computer design training at TAFE and a lot of hands-on work in our graphics room, metal shop, spray painting area and in our router workshop. In addition, you will be going out on site to put your new skills to the test. You might be installing all types of signs – in hotels, hospitals, offices, shops, airports etc. Every day is different! Get a good idea of all the types of signage by referencing our website Products page here.

We offer a great training environment, matched to a 3 year TAFE course.
