ECU City is now the proud recipient of a sky sign. The first of the large sky signs has been installed, giving this landmark project an identity. With more sky signs scheduled over the next few weeks milestone for ECU City signals that the building nears completion. Significantly, ECU City needs to be finished by mid December 2025 in time for students in early 2026. It is all systems go at Signs & Lines. We have five more sky signs to install in November. Plus a range of external totems and literally thousands of internal signs still to install across the North and South buildings. We are busy, busy bees!
Channel 7 News marked the significance of this first sky sign installation on its nightly news on 21st October 2025. Watch all the action here – noting that the sound is not working at the moment but put on the subtitles for the words. Look carefully and you’ll also see the Bankwest sky signs that we installed in 2024!

Signs & Lines Superstars!
Huge congratulations to all those involved in reaching this milestone for ECU City. Projects like this involve a lot of sweat, blood and tears but the rewards are immense. So many Signs & Lines super-stars have been involved in this project – too many to name. Put simply, this project has touched almost all of our 45 staff in one way or another. How?
- Project team – keeping all the plates spinning, planning, methodology, procurement, client liaison etc
- Design – taking responsibility for not only how the signage looks, but how it’s constructed
- Procurement – buying in all the elements such as metals, paints, LEDs, subcontractors such as rope teams
- Permits & equipment – think traffic and pedestrian management, letter drops to local businesses, cranage
- Manufacture – router work, metal fabrication of framework and letters – ECU.
- Assembly – application of LED’s, lighting tests, finishing, sign faces
- Installation – ropes team
Well done all!!
More on this project to follow in due course as we move into the final months of work.
