EOFY Signage Event – Team Challenge | Olympics

Proving that it’s not all work and no play, our EOFY Signage Event celebration involved all our staff in dress ups – including clowns, pirates, babies, zoo animals, spooks and witches!

It’s not hard to motivate our S&L crew for a team game or two (we have some VERY competitive sorts!!) – with the added bonus of beer and pizza we had all the ingredients to make it an afternoon to remember.

The hard working and highly creative events and F&B committee team – Sarah, Richard and Josie – made sure that the ‘minute to win it’ games had just the right amount of skill, luck and teamwork to keep our game’sters on their toes.

The ‘Limbo-off’ provided a rare insight to Evan and Pank’s hypermobility and contortion skills –  we know who we are sending for those confirmed space jobs!

Some of the Spooks used a frightening amount of paper wrap to craft their costumes & showed a scary lack of skill on some games… time to go back to spooking old grannies!! With only 3 players, the Babies did exceptionally well given that one player was also checking in on their wife due to give birth at any minute. And as wooden spoon winners, the babies are definitely crying over spilt milk this time round!

The 6 teams went head to head in 6 different team challenges!

What a hilarious, competitive afternoon! Thank you to everyone who participated – it was amazing to see so many interesting dress ups!

Full marks to the Spooks who made full use of the sign wrapping materials to add to their scary costumes. The Zoo team got heavily into constume-mode with the turkey’s facial expression still making me smile(!!). The lion was particularly keen as a dress up participant. Pirates – complete with Jason’s full battlefield regalia, Evan’s parrot and Kev’s earring were entertaining…  with Ev dominating the limbo over Pank’s noble effort. And who can forget the Clowns – bringing colour, mayhem and craziness. Babies were at least one ‘man-down’ but did a good job in the circumstances and finally, the Witches, who – despite some cunning spells (& cheating!) – were not able to pull off any real magic when it came to the scoreboard!
