A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF SIGNAGE

Insights into a week in the life of signage at Signs & Lines & Yap!digital. We call it Midvale in Motion (a nod to our Midvale facility in Perth’s east)!! It started with a Public Holiday – always a crowd pleaser with the team!!  Saying that, there was much to catch up on as March is well and truly underway. The team at Signs & Lines and Yap!digital has been flat out doing what we do best — designing, fabricating and installing signage across Western Australia.

Site Works

One of this week’s highlights was finishing off at the iconic WACA Ground Wayfinding and Statutory contract for ADCO. Here our installers took to the scissor lift to install new wayfinding signage. Working at height always requires careful planning and teamwork, and the result is signage that helps visitors navigate the venue with ease. The safety management of the team under our Health & Safety Rep Evan’s watchful eye was impressive.

Also part of the site crew, Phil and JR were on ladders completing the finishing touches to the impressive Surevision 14-metre-wide digital videoboard, also at the WACA. This massive display is 14 metres wide and a centrepiece of the venue’s ongoing redevelopment. It’s a great example of the large-scale digital signage solutions delivered by the Yap!digital team.

The WACA redevelopment also provided the perfect backdrop for a marketing photoshoot. Project Manager, Sheno, and Business Manager, Josie, joined the team on-site to capture the finished work. This is a vital part of the process. Documenting our great work ! It’s been exciting to be part of the regeneration of one of Perth’s most iconic sporting venues.

Midvale HQ – Midvale in Motion!

Back at our Midvale headquarters the workshop was buzzing. Our fabrication team spent the week producing plenty of precision metalwork for major infrastructure clients, ensuring every component meets the durability and quality standards we’re known for.

Training and continuous improvement are also part of the rhythm of a busy week. The team completed in-house safe lifting and carrying VOC training, reinforcing our commitment to safety and best practice across every job.

We also took the opportunity to showcase our 5S approach — a system that keeps our workspaces efficient, organised and safe. From a neatly set-up installer vehicle to our carefully arranged fixing rack, it’s these small details that help keep projects running smoothly from workshop to worksite.
