How it All Started
This project is a special one for the Signs & Lines team. After 25 years with us, Peter Monkhouse retired in 2022, one of the original two employees. To honour both Peter’s service for our country and our business, we wanted to give back in a way that mattered.
Sailing forward with purpose, we partnered with Sailing On WA for a pro-bono project creating striking new boat decal.
Supporting Community Organisations
Sailing On WA, is a not-for-profit organisation that uses sailing as a therapeutic tool. The purpose is to support veterans and current Defence members living with PTSD and other mental health challenges.
Sailing On, utilises sailing to build camaraderie in a supportive team environment. It was our first time working with Sailing On WA. We sailed forward with purpose by partnering with a wellbeing-focused organisation, creating a real community impact.

Rebranding on the Water
The signage was needed as part of Sailing On WA’s project to restore old sailing boats.
- The organisation acquires boats for a low cost and refurbishes them for sailing programs. Therefore, it is essential that they maintain a cohesive look.
- Their boat, Bellissimo, had a faded name graphic and no longer reflected the pride and care the team puts into their vessels.
- The new signage refreshed the boat’s appearance. It also helped reinforce the organisation’s identity and commitment to quality.
Scope of Works:
In summary, our work consisted of the following:
- Project Kick-off: Peter reached out to involve us in the Sailing On WA initiative.
- Project Briefing: He explained the goals and how our team could contribute.
- Design & Production: We created high-quality, durable vinyl graphics for the boats.
- Installation: Peter installed the graphics during the refurbishment process, combining his sailing and signage expertise.
