April kicked off with a Pot Luck Lunch featuring a range of sweat and savoury treats from around the globe. Pitched as a ‘bring your favourite lunch dish’ or ‘showcase your country’s culinary delights’ the spread was impressive. With over 20 dishes featured, our chefs pitted for prizes.

Nothing like a good ‘Cook Off’ to get everyone motivated to show off their skills in the kitchen. Or ask Mum or a friend!!  Votes were made using specially designed washers (AKA washers from the factory stock!) as a voting tool.  As usual there was a splendid selection suiting everyone from vegan, to vegetarian to meatlovers and sweet tooths.

With dishes from Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Northern Ireland, South Africa, Poland and UK the global spread was evident in the colours and flavours.

Check out the pics below of the Pot Luck Lunch … and scroll down for the winning dishes!!

Renee’s dish – Marry Me Chicken – was highly scored and came runner-up. A deliciously hearty creamy chicken recipe – which remains a secret in Renee’s family.

To be fair, many dishes were voted for giving some idea of the quality of the cooking…

The Final Wrap

A massive thank you to everyone who contributed to the Pot Luck Lunch. It was a huge success. Special thanks to our F&B Manager, Richard, for his mastery around keeping all our tummys full at Signs & Lines!  To Robbie and the team who set up the factory and cleaned up afterwards – appreciated.

Tune in for more fun and games later in the year!
